Mindz 'n Transit -"In Words"
After 25 years of enlightening experience in the non-profit sector, specializing in women’s issues, working at a women's shelter, in sexual abuse and trauma services, employment services, and working with at-risk and street kids, I am now putting all that I have passed on and taught verbally to individuals and groups over the years, in writing.
It's life altering stuff!
I’m also an alternative teacher, facilitating a wide variety of workshops and groups that I’ve developed myself. I write all articles and material – educational and promotional – that correspond with these events.
Historically, I have a background in literary short story, article and poetry publication, as well as theatre performance review for a regional newspaper.
For the past 6 years, I be writing a column, "Lightworker’s Way", for the Spiritual Niagara site. Recently, I've compiled the first 30 months into an ebook which can be found on Amazon.ca.
All of my material is focused on human nature and behaviour, life purpose and direction, relationships (of all types), spiritual education, , empowerment, self-improvement and stress management – tools and lessons needed to live life authentically!
Its about getting rid of the old --- to make room for the new.

Desperate for Love: The Life and Times of a Survivor
This is a story of a survivor; a survivor of abandonment, neglect, incest, sexual abuse, Stockholm Syndrome, repressed memory, and post-traumatic stress. It’s a story to help other survivors understand themselves; the way they think, the way they feel, and the things they do to help themselves survive. It’s also a story to help people in the lives of a survivor understand their struggling loved one. I have, for my entire adult life, called Ireland my initial education. In 1991, I was drawn to becoming a counsellor for sexual abuse and began my training, working a crisis line to help women deal with their flashbacks and anxiety that repeatedly blindsided them as they continued to try and live a semblance of a normal live. I then went to college for Social Services and worked at several places, all including services some form of abuse and post-traumatic stress. Of course, I learned a lot from my formal education but I felt I had something a little more than many of my colleagues who learned from teachers and textbooks. I had a role model of the complex dynamics that are involved in surviving on-going trauma, sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle of my life.
